Assistant Scheme Manager
The Trustees would like to hear from suitably experienced individuals interested in applying for the part-time position of Assistant Scheme Manager, starting in late July 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible and proactive approach and a background in supporting elderly, vulnerable people.
The role, supporting the Scheme Manager, will involve monitoring the well-being of our residents through regular visits, addressing concerns, actioning property maintenance and repair issues with our contractors and occasionally deputising for the Scheme Manager. The role does not involve providing any personal care to residents.
Basic computer literacy is desirable as is an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to progress towards this. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Experience in the caring, social housing or charity sector would be ideal for this role which will entail working 27 hours per week in return for a salary of c. £13k. The core hours of work will be between 08.30 and 14.00 Monday to Friday with a willingness to be one of several designated people for very occasional callouts outside the core hours, to respond to emergencies.
